REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
All presenters—including both poster and oral presenters—must complete registration for the SFG 2026 Annual Meeting before submitting an abstract. Registration and abstract submission are managed through separate portals. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with access to the abstract submission system. Access is restricted to registered attendees only.
PRESENTER FORMATS
Keynote Presenter (Oral Presentation) Keynote Presenters are invited by SFG to present featured talks. Presentations are 15 minutes, followed by 4–5 minutes for questions, with a strict 20-minute maximum. Registration instructions will be provided by May 29, and additional speaker details will be shared in early September.
Short Talk (Oral Presentation) + Poster Presenter A limited number of presenters will be selected to give a 5-minute oral presentation as well as present their poster during designated sessions. There is no Q&A during the oral presentation; questions are encouraged during the poster session. Talks are strictly limited to 5 minutes. Speaker instructions and additional details will be provided in early September.
Poster Presenter Poster presenters are invited to present their work during their designated poster sessions only. Presenters must be present at their assigned poster during their scheduled session to discuss their research and answer questions from attendees. Posters will remain on display throughout both poster sessions; however, attendance is only required during the assigned session day and time. Speaker instructions and additional details will be provided in early September.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS INFORMATION
Slide Upload Instructions To facilitate a smooth AV experience, all invited Keynote presenters and Short Talk presenters are required to upload their final PowerPoint slides in advance using the secure Dropbox link which will be provided to you via email in October 2026. The deadline to upload your slide is Friday, October 30, 2026.
Speaker Arrival: Please arrive at your session room at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time to meet with the AV technician and ensure your slides are loaded and working properly.
Technical Support SFG will provide the following equipment:
- Microphone
- Laptop (conference-provided only)
- Projector and screen
Personal laptops are not permitted for presentations. All files must be run from the provided conference laptop to ensure AV compatibility and avoid technical delays.
POSTER PRESENTATION INFORMATION
Poster presenters are required to be at their poster during their assigned presentation time to discuss their research with conference attendees. Posters will remain on display during both poster sessions listed below; however, presenters are only required to attend during their assigned session. Assigned presentation times and additional details will be provided in September.
POSTER SESSION SCHEDULE
Poster Session 1 Monday, November 9, 2026 4:00 - 6:00 PM
Poster Session 2 Tuesday, November 10, 2026 5:00 - 6:30 PM
POSTER MOVE IN AND OUT
Poster Setup Posters may be mounted and displayed prior to Session 1. The official move-in date and time will be announced in August.
Poster Removal
Posters must be removed immediately following Poster Session 2 on Tuesday, November 10. Please remove all materials promptly, as any items left behind may be discarded.
POSTER DISPLAY GUIDELINES
- Display Space: You will be provided with a display space of approximately 4 feet x 4 feet (114.5 cm x 114.5 cm)
- Poster Number: Posters are assigned a board number and will be arranged in numerical order.
- Mounting Materials: Push pins will be provided.
- Layout: Each display board is 8 feet wide, allowing space for two posters side-by-side. Please plan your layout accordingly.

- Abstract Submission Opens: June 1
- Abstract Submission Deadline: August 14 (deadline 11:59 PM ET)
- Abstract Review Period: August 17–31
- Early Bird Registration Deadline: August 21
- Abstract Acceptance Notifications: Early September
- Speaker Details: Mid-September
- Late-Breaking Abstract Submission: September 14 - 18 (11:59 PM ET, no extensions)
