Planning to present at the 2025 SFG Annual Conference?
Please review the following abstract submission guidelines and requirements.

Abstract Submission Information

  • Registration Required: You must be registered for the SFG 2025 Annual Conference to submit an abstract. Access to the submission portal is restricted to registered attendees.

  • Who Should Submit:
    The presenting author is responsible for submitting the abstract
  • Deadline:
    The abstract submission deadline is Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:59 PM (ET).
    Abstracts submitted by this deadline and accepted will be published in the journal Glycobiology and available online.  Late-breaking abstracts may be accepted after July 11 (check back for updates), but will not be published in Glycobiology.

  • Abstract Submission Fee & Requirements:
    • There is a $75 non-refundable abstract submission fee per submission.
    • The abstract submission fee is separate from the meeting registration fee.
    • Abstracts may only be submitted after completing registration.
    • Abstracts must be submitted with the intent to present.
    • If the first author is unable to attend, it is their responsibility to designate a co-author to present in their place.
  • Character Limit:
    Maximum of 3,000 characters, not including title, authors, or affiliations.

  • Figures & Tables:
    Do not include figures or tables in your submission.
  • Final Version Only:
    Abstracts will be published in Glycobiology exactly as submitted. No edits will be made after submission, so please ensure your abstract is complete and in final form.
