2021 ASBMB Annual Meeting

American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) 2021 Meeting
April 27-30, 2021

The ASBMB 2021 Meeting will be held virtually April 27-30. Along with outstanding award lectures, poster sessions, and workshops, this year six thematic sessions covering foundational areas of biochemistry and molecular biology will meet each of the three mornings of the conference. One of the themes is entitled, Glycosylation and Extracellular Matrix in Development, Repair, and Disease, co-chaired by Drs. Jamey Marth and Joanne Murphy-Ullrich. They have invited 12 world-class scientists to speak in this three-day theme. We hope to have many abstracts submitted relevant to glycosylation and extracellular matrix. Additional Spotlight sessions will be added to the program drawn from the submitted abstracts, allowing students, postdoctoral scholars, and other young scientists to present their work orally.

Abstracts are due January 7, 2021.

January 18-20, 2022
Harnack House of the Max Planck Society in Berlin, Germany
The GlycoBioTec is the follow up symposium of the very well-received GlycoBioTec2019 and GlycoBioTec2017 with around 180 participants from academia and industry. At the GlycoBioTec2022, current trends in modern glycobiotechnology will be presented. The symposium embodies an interactive forum for the discussion of cutting-edge research on the frontiers of glycobiotechnology, spanning from fundamental theory, analytics and applications to the development of methods & technologies important to biopharma, health, medicine and functional food.
The GlycoBioTec2022 centers on science and people by creating a confidential ambience that ensures a lively exchange between delegates. The attractive conference format features the following topics:
  • Synthesis and Function of Human Milk Oligosaccharides
  • Biopharmaceuticals: Control on Glycosylation Quality Attributes
  • Cell-free Synthesis of Glycoconjugates, Glycans and Nucleotide Sugars
  • Glycosylation & Protein Function
  • High-Throughput Glycoanalytics for In-process Control
  • Novel Technologies & Methods for Glycoanalytics
  • Glycoimmunology
  • Cell-based Glycoengineering
Based on these topics, ranging from basic research to industrial application, a broad coverage on state-of-the-art analytics, expression systems, pharmaceutical process technologies and medical applications in glycobiotechnology will be provided.
