Instructor in GlycoscienceThe Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is immediately seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at the level of Instructor in the area of Glycoscience. Areas of specific interest include glycomics and glycoproteomics, with experience in diverse sample preparation techniques. The ability to teach and train in the laboratory setting and lead a team of researchers is critical. The ideal candidate will be expected to participate in laboratory teaching and training of technical staff, visiting scientists, students and postdoctoral fellows. The successful candidate would be expected to fully integrate with the laboratory’s internationally renowned cross-disciplinary efforts, and will play a role in securing funding. Appointment as Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will have a PhD in biochemistry or analytical chemistry. Several years of direct research experience would be advantageous, however candidates with less experience and exceptional promise will also be considered.
