ANTI-CARBOHYDRATE ANTIBODY DESIGN AND DISCOVERY

National Cancer Institute, Frederick, MD

Position Description:

The Gildersleeve laboratory at the National Cancer Institute has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow starting on or after October 1, 2021. The goal of our research program is to develop and investigate carbohydrate-binding antibodies for cancer applications.  We use glycan microarray technology as well as chemical, biochemical, and molecular biology approaches to design and develop new carbohydrate-binding antibodies as research tools, diagnostics, and therapeutics.  This project will involve developing new strategies for design and discovery of anti-carbohydrate antibodies for cancer applications. Candidates with experience in antibody development and discovery, protein engineering, glycobiology, and/or directed evolution are especially encouraged to apply.
