Dr. John Erickson’s Laboratory in the Division of Neonatology and Center for Inflammation and Tolerance has an immediate opening for a Research Fellow or Research Associate to perform research investigating the intersection of glycobiology and immunology as it relates to pregnancy and infectious diseases.
The ongoing project focuses on modifications to glycans (sugars) on antibodies that both modulate host defense against infection. The project focuses on integrating glycobiology and immunology, including sialic acid interaction with sialic acid receptors.
Dr. Erickson recently launched his laboratory and has a seminal publication in Nature. This position is supported by funding from the NIAID-NIH, but open to all applicants regardless of visa status.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. in related discipline, MD, or equivalent required.
- Experience in immunology, glycobiology, mouse models, and/or flow cytometry;
