Postdoctoral Associate in Li Lab at Georgia State University

Job Title:        Postdoc Associate

Job Summary: A postdoctoral position in mass spectrometry/functional glycomics is available in Lei Li’s lab (www.lliglycolab.org) at Georgia State University, Department of Chemistry.

Hemophilia A (HA) is caused by a deficiency of blood clotting factor VIII (FVIII). A major persistent complication in the clinical treatment of hemophilia A using factor-replacement therapy is a very high frequency in the formation of inhibitory antibodies against FVIII. We are elucidating the fundamental basis of inhibitor development and the immunological link between glycosylation and inhibitor development.

We are seeking a postdoctoral associate with experience in glycomics or proteomics for this project. The research will involve glycomics and glycoproteomics analyses using MALDI-MS/MS and/or LC-MS/MS, and glycan microarray analysis.  The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team.

This is a three-year position that can be renewable depending on the availability of funding and mutual agreement. Competitive salary and benefits are available commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D., or M.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related major.

Candidates should send CV to Lei Li ([email protected])
