Post Doctoral Fellow

Emory University

Bhatt lab at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University is looking for a postdoc to join the team studying how leukemia cells dodge therapy through non-genetic and epigenetic adaptation (drug-tolerant persister states). The position will be funded through the new NCI R37 MERIT Award.

What we're looking for:

  • Fresh PhD graduates with no more than 1-2 years of postdoc experience
  • Solid wet-lab chops, and genuinely comfortable with epigenetics (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, chromatin stuff)
  • Not afraid of computational/genomic data — you don't need to be a bioinformatician, but you should be able to dig into sequencing datasets and work with people who are
  • Some evidence you can write and finish projects (papers, preprints, a solid thesis)
  • Someone who's independent but also likes being part of a team

Bhatt lab is based at Winship Cancer Institute with a joint home in the GT–Emory Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering, so there's a good mix of hematology, engineering, and computational folks around.
