Virtual Format Rates

An alternative VIRTUAL format is now available to allow for registration to those who are unable to attend in person. This format will include ways to connect with other attendees and to interact with SfG sponsors virtually.

• Sessions will be recorded and available on a virtual platform. The sessions, including keynote talks and award lectures, will not be live-streamed. Rather, the recorded sessions will be available after the meeting for viewing on demand at times when it is convenient for virtual registrants to experience the content of the meeting.
• This virtual format will include posters, keynote talks, and award lectures.
• In addition, the virtual format will also offer interactive ways to communicate with fellow attendees and connect with SfG sponsors via the Whova platform. This platform will include the ability to upload your poster along with a short video presentation, participate in live chat rooms concurrently with the meeting and schedule discussions with other participants attending the SfG conference in person or virtually.

All attendees must agree to and abide by SFG's Meeting Policy Terms and Conditions.

Refund, Cancellation, and Change Policy

If you must cancel your participation at the SfG meeting, you must contact [email protected] by September 22, 2022. A $25 non-refundable processing fee will be deducted from the refund. After September 22, 2022, 11:59 pm ET, no refunds will be issued. Please note that SfG has expanded the registration refund policy to allow for unforeseen travel restrictions in place at the time of our event and will honor any earnest request for a refund and waiver of the $25 processing fee if unable to travel due to such restrictions. All cancellations must be provided IN WRITING by September 22, 2022. (Hotel and travel cancellations/refunds are the sole responsibility of the individual.)  

Safety Statement and Annual Meeting Protocols

SfG conference attendees and staff agree to abide by the terms of the SfG Safety Statement and Protocols, including providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination and the wearing of masks in all meeting areas. Failure to comply with the event’s safety protocols will result in denial of your entry to the event and your registration fee will not be refunded.

Safety Guidelines

SfG is committed to hosting a safe in-person meeting. Attendees should be aware that, while SfG will make every effort to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission on-site, it is possible that attendees will come in contact with people in airports, public transportation, hotels, and around the Omni Resort who could potentially carry the virus, which is why SfG is requiring attendees to be fully vaccinated for their own safety, as well as the safety of others. 

As SfG continues to track the rate of COVID-19 transmission, these policies and safety measures may be further modified based on the latest public health guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as local government requirements and guidance.  If safety measures are changed, they will be posted on the website and disseminated to all attendees. In order to attend this in-person event, you must comply with these mandatory policies for the safety and well-being of all attendees. Your registration fee would not be refunded due to non-compliance of safety policies.
