Postdoctoral Research Positions at the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center
Complex Carbohydrate Research Center, University of Georgia: The Urbanowicz Lab at the University of Georgia’s Complex Carbohydrate Research Center invites applicants for two fully funded postdoctoral research positions available immediately. The laboratory is leveraging the development of new tools for analysis of carbohydrate active enzymes and innovating high throughput assays for validation of gene function. We’re especially seeking in applicants that are interested in the intersection of plant biology, biochemistry, glycobiology, and phenotypic variation. For more information about this position please contact Dr. Breeanna Urbanowicz (https://ccrc.uga.edu/team/breeanna-urbanowicz/)
Position #1 involves the characterization of understudied glycosyltransferases (GTs) and glycoside hydrolases (GH) for biotechnology and bioengineering applications. The post-doc will be part of a cross-disciplinary team focused on escalating knowledge and accelerating research in glycoscience across the tree of life. (see details: https://www.ugajobsearch.com/hr/postings/391083).
Position #2 is focused on the application of a combination of analytic techniques to determine composition and structure of carbohydrates during microbial fermentation. The project will involve identification and characterization of enzymes that act to hydrolyze or modify complex plant carbohydrates. (see details: https://www.ugajobsearch.com/hr/postings/391080).
