Annual Meeting Policies

The 2022 SfG Annual Conference Program Committee has put together an exciting series of plenary lectures and structured poster presentations from invited speakers and participants who are conducting the most innovative and cutting-edge research in glycobiology in the world today.

You can expect to learn about the latest research related to the following topics:

  • Pathogen–Host Interactions and Glycoimmunology
  • Chemical Biology and Structure–Function Studies
  • Neuroglycobiology
  • Novel Tools and Approaches
  • Glycans in Development and Evolution
  • Glycan Biosynthesis,Trafficking, and Signaling
  • Glycopathologies
  • Diversity of Pathways and Structures

The common focus on the functional role of carbohydrates brings together different research areas and stimulates discussions and innovative ideas.

Highlights of New Events this year

  • The International Glycoconjugate Organization Guest Session: “Diversity of pathways and structures”
  • Q&A Information Session with NIH Program Directors and CSR Officers: New NIH policies, funding initiatives, and support for the Glycobiology community
  • DataWorks! – FASEB presentation on an initiative that helps researchers prepare for the new Data Management and Sharing Policy that NIH will implement in January 2023

We hope you can join us!
