ASBMB 2016 Annual Meeting - Call for Abstracts
ASBMB 2016 Annual Meeting, in conjunction with Experimental Biology - Call for Abstracts
We enthusiastically encourage you and your colleagues to submit abstracts for the 2016 ASBMB Annual Meeting, April 2 – 6, 2016. Twelve volunteered abstracts will be selected to present a short talk during the "Glycoscience in Biology" sessions. All Glycoscience-related topics will be considered.
Submit to the Glycoscience-related themed ASBMB topic categories #2580-2630.
ASBMB offers generous student and postdoc travel awards.
Carbohydrates are the only one of the four major biomolecules of life that modifies the other three. This is perhaps unsurprising, since glycosylation is well suited for increasing the functional diversity of resulting glycoconjugates. The various monosaccharides found in glycans, coupled with the variability in how they are attached to each other, confers onto glycans incredibly high information content that is reflected in their diverse structures and topologies. This 2016 American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology annual meeting theme session will focus on how glycosylation impacts biology and how technological advances are providing novel insights into the roles of glycans in basic cellular processes and pathophysiologies.

We look forward to seeing you in San Diego.
